A 1987 VINTAGE "MOUSEMAN" CRAFTSMAN COLIN "BEAVERMAN" ALMACK OAK TABLE LAMP
Just the thing to light up those cosy corners on these dark nights, this Yorkshire Oak table lamp was hand-made by ex-"Mouseman" trained craftsman, Colin "Beaverman" Almack.
The lamp is skillfully carved and features Amack's signature beaver scampering up from the lamp base, as well carved decoration to the base of the shaft and a two tiered base.
The base was carved by Almack with the initials S and P either side of the date 2-5-87, and was specially made to be gifted to a newly wed couple, from whose estate I purchased it.
This oak table lamp is in excellent original condition with no damage. Medium fumed. Hand tooled and adzed throughout. No losses, splits, chips, or similar to the beaver, lamp base or shaft. It has been rewired and PAT tested and comes complete with the shade in the photographs, a new plug and a new low energy light bulb. Please note the lamp is not switched, so on/off would be direct from the mains socket.
To nourish and preserve the oak, the lamp has been lightly waxed using Gilboy's polish, which is a 100% natural product used by top restorers and conservators.
